If you who haven't heard of the club or are new to the hobby, we'd like to explain a bit of what we're about.
Firstly, spelling kustom with a 'K' isn't a typo - it's an homage to the infamous Barris Brothers, Sam & George, the American Kings of Kustom,
who were pioneering masters of the black art of radical body modification.
UKK are keen to promote this, both a style that should be kept alive and also as a cheap way of getting into the custom and rodding scene.
We're not just into period yank iron either, as we encourage people to build British cars using traditional styling techniques. We also support the growth of Kontemporary Kustoms - cars built using billet and monochrome paint schemes mixed with old style body mods. This is because we believe that being there is bloody important and, whilst encouraging quality, we're just as supportive of the backbone of British customs - the beaters and daily drivers - so we won't turn you away just because your ride isn't painted yet.
We're a friendly bunch and like to keep in touch with each other at designated gatherings throughout the show season, as well as our members only hangin' dice picnic weekend, but mostly through total sledonism, a quarterly(-ish!) magazine jam-packed with feature cars, how-to's, styling ideas and much, much more.
While our cars may be stuck in the '50s, we like to move with the times and this website will bring you highlights from the mag and let you see where we'll be during the show season - so why not send us some feedback?
